Standard installation procedure for socket 370 & A coolers:

  1. Please remove any protective film or covers before cooler installation.
  2. Fit the cooler straight onto the CPU, don't rock. Latch tail of clip to protruding ear on the side of the motherboard ZIF socket.
  3. Insert a flat bladed screwdriver (Max 4mm) into the pocket of the fitted clip and push down and leaver back so it clips over protruding ear on the opposite side of motherboard ZIF socket.
  4. Connect the 3pin fan connector onto the motherboard 3pin fan header. Assembly finished.


Standard installation procedure for socket 478 coolers:

Please follow these steps to avoid any damage.
  1. Please remove any protective film or covers before cooler installation.
  2. Put the supporting (black) bedpost bracket on the motherboard and push down the (white) pins until these lock into the motherboard. Fit the cooler staight onto the processor into the bedpost (black) bracket.
  3. Fit the leavered clips and then push down and leaver back so it clips over the protruding ear on the opposite side of the bedpost (black) bracket.
  4. Connect the 3pin fan connector onto the motherboard 3pin fan header. Assembly finished.


Important thermal interface notice:

Please follow these steps to avoid any damage.
  1. If you want to use the generic thermal interface which is already mounted on the base of the cooler, please remove any protective film or covers before cooler installation.
  2. If you want to use a different thermal interface material. Please completely remove the thermal interface material which already is applied on the base of your heatsink. You can remove it easily with a cloth and some alcohol, or paint remover.
  3. When the heat sink base is completely cleaned and there is no thermal interface material left. You can apply new interface material on the base of the heatsink. Do not use to much!
  4. Instal the cooler as discribed in the installation procedure and be sure to connect the 3pin fan connector onto the motherboard 3pin fan header. Assembly finished.
